The House of Stairs

Oh, the deliciously twisted mind of Ruth Rendell. Her novels are much more than just the traditional suspense book...so much more. She delves so deftly into the minds of all her characters and sets an amazing setting. You truly do enter into a world she has created. The House Of Stairs has been one of my favorites of hers for a long time and now it is time to set it free from my bookshelf. The characters of Cosette and Christabel are so remarkably drawn. I don't want to say anything more as it will take away from the unfolding eerie magic of the book. Enjoy!
