Another dollar store find!
Unabridged, 4 cassettes, approximately 6 3/4 hours, read by Jenna Lamia, David Ledoux, Jillian Crane, and John Randolph Jones
Synopsis:
"GOD IS NOWHERE GOD IS NOW HERE GOD IS
NOWHERE GOD IS NOW HERE..."
Pregnant and secretly married, Cheryl Anway scribbles what becomes her last will and testament on a school binder shortly before a rampaging trio of misfit classmates guns her down in a high school cafeteria. Overrun with paranoia, teenage angst, and religious zeal in the massacre's wake, this sleepy suburban neighborhood declares its saints, brands its demons, and moves on.
But for a handful of people still reeling from that horrific day, life remains permanently derailed. Four dramatically different characters tell their stories: Cheryl, who calmly narrates her own death; Jason, the boy no one knew was her husband, still marooned ten years later by his loss; Heather, the woman trying to love the shattered Jason; and Jason's father, Reg, whose rigid religiosity has separated him from nearly everyone he loves.
Surprising, soulful, and rich with Coupland's trademark black humor, Hey, Nostraddamus! is an unforgettable portrait of people wrestling with spirituality and with sorrow and its acceptance.
This is another new audiobook that I got for $1 at the dollar store. What a find!
I was so moved by each character. I think Cheryl was the most endearing, and the narrator did such a wonderful job fleshing out this character. Copeland does such an amazing job of telling this story from different points of view and over different periods of time. Yes, it was somewhat depressing without a neat ending, but this audio was well worth the time.

Received in the mail today. Thanks for sharing this audiobook with me.
I read the book a while ago; remembered very little. I think this audiobook made excellent use of the narrators who gave another dimension to the characters that reading the book could not do. I really liked the narrator for Cheryl. I was surprised to find that the book is more about Jason than Cheryl. Great story; well read.
