I like Haven Kimmel, because she writes about having a basically happy childhood. She is funny and warm. She draws you in and it makes the sad parts, even sadder or more poignant. I think if I grew up with her, she would have been my best friend, but if I had to babysit a kid like her, she would drive me crazy! The dead rats in the bed story is going to give me nightmares!
