I picked this up from Molyneux last Friday night, along with a load of other books which will be going into the Solihull Freecycle Event box.

I pulled this one out as it had a recommendation from Karin Slaughter, an author I love. I enjoyed the novel but had to admit it did give me a nightmare!!! Can't say too much without giving away part of the storyline but I have seen a programme on the major medical phenomenon in the novel!

What a fantastic surprise! Thank you so much beckydore for RABCKing this book to me. I'm about to head off on holiday to the US in the next couple of weeks so I'll take this along with me to read on the beach and maybe wild release it in Cape Cod or Boston before I come home - if I've finished it, of course! Thanks once again & best wishes.

Didn't manage to read this on holiday - too busy to do any reading unfortunately :o( So it travelled to New York, Boston and Cape Cod and then came home again!

A very different read to Tokyo but still a real pageturner. Lots of blood and gore, tense and scary moments. I must admit that I saw the ending coming to a certain degree but still was impressed with the story and the clever way Hayder told it. Not something to everyone's taste but well worth the read if you can get past the pigs.

Thanks for sharing the book with me and I will endeavour to find it a new reader asap.

Can't say I found this scary at all, just gory. The characters seemed a bit two dimensional to me and I think there was a gaping hole in the plot (but I can't go into that without spoilers so will keep it to myself).

Having said all that, it did keep me turning the pages so clearly it works on some level. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to read it, thanks again, KathyS!
