TBR -- Going on my pile of books I still need to read.

Journal Entry 2 by kbgoffe from Beaverton, Oregon USA on Sunday, April 6, 2003
I confess that I bought the book because Steve Martin wrote it. I really had no idea what the book would be like but it is not what I expected. In the beginning I felt it was a little slow but then I got into the rhythm of his style. A very interesting look at relationships. I had no idea that Steve Martin had this type of story within him.

WOW. Im not trying to sound like a fanatic-but i REALLY liked this book. (I couldn't get the image of Steve Martin narrating out of my head though) I loved the witty remarks, and the extremely accurate analysis of the thought patterns of men and women. There were times where i wondered where the connections were between the characters. I was very pleased. I want to also note, I was very touched by this book. I was able to identify with Mirabelle, and have found it hard to continue moving along at times. I found this a cheap inspiration!
~Please note, this is the longest journal entry i have EVER made for ANY book. This is huge for me. I cant say this was my all time favorite really, but i was very moved by it.
Enjoy... Release notes coming soon.

i finally got it back! OK, heres the scoop, i read it, passed it on to my x-boyfriend(miatahitman) He passed it on to his friend, he read it. Then my x was going to give it back so i could pass it on in the "already bookcrossed bookbox", and he supposedly dropped it off at my work, but i never saw or heard about it's whereabouts until a few days ago.

~~~~~Heres a play by play look at where Shop Girl was~~~~~~
-X-boyfriend goes into the Drive thru Starbucks, hands it to the "tall bleach blond haired guy"(i still don't know who this was) Who put in the back room on a shelf above my level( could be virtually anywhere in the back room.
-Sits on the shelf for like, 2 months
-Someone who i work with finds it, and takes it home(without journaling mind you)
-I bring it up to her, unsuspecting and she tells me she has it.
-I tell her to finish reading, and ask to get it back when shes done.
-Got it back today.
Ok, thats what happened to it. I hope the in depth detail makes up for the fact that it was off the charts for so long...
I am putting it in the Already been bookcrossed bookbox.
I just love the adventure this book has already had. It should be having more as it is part of the Already Been Bookcrossed Bookbox, Round 2.
I am just thrilled that it went to London66 since I know this book just touched part of her soul. :)
So far each time I start this another bookring/bookray book arrives and I drop Shopgirl. Since I've connected so with previous items by Martin I want to read these. (How many book rings/rays did I join anyway??)
Are you sure you want to delete this item? It cannot be undone.
