Got the book from my daughters neighbor who told her about bookcrossing. She passed it on to me and I plan to pass it on to another friend who is an avid reader. Hopefully we'll pick up more bookcrossing books, it's a great way to recycle my books rather then hold on to them.

This book is an excellent read. I lived on Long Island and remember the event very well. My friends husband was the "air traffic controller" and was watching Flight 800 when it disappeared from sight. I also know the man who had to figure out what happened. There WAS a video which we all did see that night and this man told me we'll never see it again because the gov't destroyed it. There definitely was no mechanical difficulty but I'm not at liberty to say what happened although I do know. I will say it wasn't an act of terrorism but it WAS a missle. Nelson Demille did an amazing job with the facts, it really hit home for me as I was not far from that site and I actually know what happened.
