Skyward is a story about healing emotional wounds and learning how to trust and love. Monroe describes the landscape beautifully and she presents information about birds of prey in an engaging manner that broadened my understanding and interest in them. The author also provides a nice introduction to the Gullah culture through the enchanting tales and words of wisdom from one of the secondary characters. The romance in enjoyable, although quite predictable. There is a child with Type 1 diabetes in the story, but unfortunately the info about diabetes was inaccurate in some parts.

Caught the book at the Stop & Shop in Milford in either Dec. 08 or early Jan.09(books for $1.00 donation - worthy cause). Haven't read, but plan to to do and release either in FL or Panama in early February while on vacation or share with fellow traveler.
