YAY! I was so happy to get this. Keyes is one of my favorite authors & I have been dying for some new material of hers to read. Adding to TBR pile but it won't be there long.

What a great book for any fan of Keyes' work! This book is comprised of short articles she has had published in newspapers and magazines and is not a work of fiction. A great quick read. I am releasing it into the ABBBC3 bookbox.

I've been wanting to read something by Marian Keyes, so I was happy to see this in the ABBC#3 bookbox. Will re-release after reading.

July, 2004 This is a book of columns and essays; I've started reading them, very funny.

Journal Entry 8 by kiptrix from Summerville, South Carolina USA on Monday, November 22, 2004
Marian Keyes is a funny woman. I've read this collection of her magazine and newspaper pieces, as well as some previously unpublished work, over a period of months. I think reading it all at once would be too much, since the subject matter is quite varied. Some chapters that stood out for me were "Himself Is A Hooligan", "Catholicism: Cheaper than Prozac, But is it Good for You?", and "Beside the Seaside". One of these days I'll have to read one of her novels.

I plan to put this into a bookbox soon.

Journal Entry 11 by lyssrose from Caledonia, Michigan USA on Tuesday, June 28, 2005
What a fun collection of essays! I'm a big fan of Marian Keyes, so when I saw this in Llama-mama's bookbox, I couldn't resist it. I've been reading this a few essays at a time, mostly while I'm on campus, waiting for class to start - it's perfect for that kind of "pick it up and read a few pages" reading, since each essay is only about 3 or 4 pages, max.

I've put out feelers to release this as a RABCK, so hopefully it will get a nibble soon and be off for someone else to read.

This should be classified as non-fiction as it is comprised of short articles Keyes has written for publications. When I put it on my wish list I thought it was another of Keyes' novels. I did read most of it and found it to be full of wit and wry humor. Never finished becasue it started to seem as if I was reading the same things over and over again. Worth the read though if you are a Keyes fan.

Sent off to a paperbackswap.com member in Billings MT. ENJOY!
