British edition. - paperback -
Mr.Moore addresses some of todays american issues(politics, environement, health care, education...) in his usual inflammatory writing style. Sarcasm, humor and irony perfectly used as a weapon against the country he is living in. Well, actually not against the country or the people in general but against some of the very powerful and influential people leading it. Of course most of his rambling is aimed in Mr.Bushes direction but he sure as hell won´t forget the other bad guys. Just to keep the balance. ;-)
Mr.Moore is IMHO a very brave man and raises questions(even provides answers sometimes) that are meant to contemplate. Many of the issues addressed can be discussed controvertially (sp?) but I believe that this is the whole point of this book. To provoke discussion.
To valuate and judge some of the statements he makes I believe it to be useful to have spent some time in the US. Just so you can compare Mr.Moores point of view with your own experiances. Due to the fact that he tends to exaggerate at times(of course he has to do that) you really might get the wrong impression of the Americans in general by building your opinion solely upon this book.
