It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

"Fleeing personal problems, park ranger Anna Pigeon takes a temporary assignment in Dry Tortugas National Park, a grouping of tiny islands seventy miles off Key West--where threats from the distant past collide with danger in the here and now."

This is the first Anna Pigeon novel I've read, and I don't typically read mystery/thrillers. I preferred the 1865 story to the modern story. Anna reads the letters of her great-great-aunt Raffia, a Union officer's wife living in Fort Jefferson at the tail-end of the Civil War. When Samuel Mudd and Samuel Arnold, two men convicted of conspiring to assassinate President Lincoln, are imprisoned at Fort Jefferson, Raffia is embroiled in a mystery of her own. I hadn't known much about the Lincoln conspirators or Fort Jefferson and the Dry Tortugas, so I enjoyed learning more.

Although I liked Anna Pigeon and enjoyed parts of her story, some things drove me crazy! Anna seems to make stupid choices that lead to near-death experiences. Would a park ranger really take that many risks? It seemed forced, to give the plot more suspense.

I plan to release this book.
