Never mess with the Sahara Desert!
That's what Sophie's dad is always telling her.
But when Sophie meets Gidaado the Fourth and his fine albino camel, the offer of a camel ride is just too good to resist. It turns out that the Sahara is more dangerous than Sophie could ever have imagined. There are snakes. There are djinns. There are sandstorms. And most terrifying of all there is Moussa ag Litni - a murderous Tuareg bandit intent on stealing camels.
"Pure adventure story... An exceptional short novel." (Times educational supplement)

This was the third book I read for the German "Bergabbauchallenge".
It was quite a nice book, easy English and an exciting story, with funny dialogues. Besides, you can learn quite a bit about how to behave in the Sahara Desert - or how to ride a camel.
This book will be part of our class library.
