American Gods: A Novel

This book pushes buttons I didn't even know I had! The concept is brilliant. The main characters well developed and in the end very likable and human in a weird sort of way. Although it has been over 30 years since I read Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelancy some of the flavor, spice, and depth of symbolism seemed similar. I picked it up while traveling in Minneapolis (downtown Barnes and Noble the night of the Harry Potter release 7/07) and savored it for several days. This guy is good!
