Assassin's Apprentice (The Farseer Trilogy, Book 1)

This was a wonderful book. Interesting and flavourful characters, an intriguing storyline, and lots of detail. There is a strong main plot and many quirky, but fun, subplots. The second book is even better as the action gets even more exciting, but I warn you now not to read this unless you don't mind a disappointing and anti-climactic ending in the third book of the trilogy. I think the first two are worth reading, despite the letdown of a conclusion.

I caught this book from my sister after she bought it at a used book store in Halifax, N.S. I love fantasy and hadn't read anything new for a while. I have passed it along to a friend but they passed it back so this time it will go with instructions!! I look forward to finding other books in this Farseer series. A great little read!
