The 15. February 2003 for Harry Perowne should be something like the 16. June 1904 as far as Ian McEwan is concerned. This does not happen but it is an interesting book about one single day that changes the life of Harry and his whole Family.

I was jogging in the Park, there was a parkbench. On this bench, was the book. I was surprised, sat down. The Park was empty, nobody anywhere. Only me and this book. Nice feeling. Thank you! I'll read it soon. It's a good time, because I'm just ready with the book I'm reading.

Yo,
found it aswell in Cologne in a Park. Maybe the other one has left it there just today :-)
I haven't read the book yet (10 minutes after finding on page 20 already) but i have read Ian McEwan's 'Atonement'. It was amazing, i would rate it 10. so i can be sure this one i have caught will at least be worth an 8.
Will leave it soon :-)
Peace.
