Leeway Cottage: A Novel (P.S.)
1 journaler for this copy...
There are 2 distinct parts of this book, one taking place among generations of summer people in a Maine colony, the other, and much more intense part, in Denmark during WWII. The author hasn't brought these 2 parts together very well. I wanted to know much less about the Leeway Cottage people and much more about the Danish people's exploits and heroism in saving their countrymen from concentration camps. Nina's chapter, near the end of the story, is badly misplaced. Beth Gutcheon tried to mix these 2 stores together, without much success.
