Absolutely riveting; best I've read yet by Picoult--in fact, one of the best books I've read ever! Picoult does a superb job dealing with the very raw and emotional subject of school shootings. Her research on the subject was fantastic. Though a VERY tough but real issue, this book did not leave me depressed as "We Need To Talk About Kevin," by Lionel Shriver. On the contrary, I felt as if I understood more about what moves these teens to kill; more informed. I am now a die hard Picoult fan and am on to another book by her--Plain Truth.

this is the fourth Jodi Picoult novel I've read and probably the best so far, though I found the number of parallels between a character in this book and one of my own kids somewhat disturbing, and I guessed the 'surprise twist' very early in the story.
