Up the tower!
We were on a guided tour of City churches, and this was one we visited. We were offered a trip up the tower, but didn't have time to go higher than the ringing chamber. While two or three people poked their heads up through the hatch to the floor above, everyone else went back down the spiral staircase, and I was left alone long enough to tuck the book behind some boards leaning against the wall.

After being up in the tower for about a year this book was finally found by the volunteer care taker and given to me, the administrator, to read. It has been a great pleasure and surprise and this hiding place was a very nice one, so well done to whoever put it there! It will now travel back home to Germany with me for now. I'd rather like to keep it as it is so nice but perhaps I can find a good place for it in Leipzig
