Haweswater: A Novel (P.S.)

Ms. Hall's debut is impressive. She has a marvelous writing style and is a master of description. The story is about love (of course!), rural life pre-WWII, technology and perception. While the story is not a tragedy, it is somber and introspective; a terrific read and a study of the english language.
