Different cover to that shown.

from amazon:
It's 1985 and Brian Jackson has arrived at university with a burning ambition - to make it onto TV's foremost general knowledge quiz. But no sooner has he embarked on 'The Challenge' than he finds himself falling hopelessly in love with his teammate, the beautiful and charismatic would-be actress, Alice Harbinson. When Alice fails to fall for his slightly over-eager charms, Brian comes up with a foolproof plan to capture her heart once and for all. He's going to win the game, at any cost, because - after all - everyone knows that what a woman really wants from a man is a comprehensive grasp of general knowledge

In my 'goody bag' from the London Convention.

I mailed this book home from Dover on 22/04/08 in one of three separate packages. One package arrived on 05/05/08. The other two have yet to surface. Thirteen books are 'lost at sea'. I will initiate an enquiry at the Post Office, but I don't hold out much hope.

My other two packages arrived home today - I'm so glad. I hope they had a lovely leisurely trip home!

This must be what's known as British Comedy - it's not very funny at all! Brian Jackson needs a good slap around the head.

Picked up at the Newcastle March BC meeting. I'm going to send this to a friend (and potential bookcrosser)

Ghastly. I didn't symapthsie with the main character at all; I thought he was a drip. To be fair, I was warned this book was crap and I read it anyway. Maybe someone else will like it but I certainly didn't. Blah!

I won't be sending this to my friend at all - it may turn them off book crossing. To be wild released.
