this is a great book. women relive a trip they took in high school down the Mississippi river.

Whee! Maparker didn't get to stay long at our Meetup tonight, but she came by long enough to drop off books. I snagged this one. Funny, I just saw this book in lost & found the other day and was wanting to read it. Now I don't have to beg and plead to have it when they clean out the l&f room!

I'm giving this one a 7. I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong, but towards the end I started getting frustrated with a few of the characters -- they see what's going wrong in their lives, why don't they DO SOMETHING, or at least think about why they're sitting on their butts not doing anything about their situation? The writing itself is great, and the characters seem like real women you could meet in normal places.
