This was fairly enjoyable, but having read 'The Story of My Life' by McInerney, I was left feeling a bit gutted that Model Behaviour followed the same formula as the other book, suicidal tendencies being supplanted by chronic distortion of self-image, and anorexia replacing cocaine addiction. Probably have given it a higher score if I hadn't already read the other, better book. Which is indeed better all round, not least because it used the phrase 'yada, yada, yada' and thus spoke to my then twenty-something hand (the face not listening) and at the time, I actually believed McInerney was a woman, which is some achievement.
