It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

I didn't think I liked vampire books until I read this one. It started out a little slow, but before I knew what hit me, I was sucked in to the story.

On it's way to Jen.

I hope you enjoy it!

Received today! I don't think I like vampire books either, but everyone tells me "this one's different"...we'll see. :)

Journal Entry 4 by jenptcfan from Mechanicsville, Virginia USA on Monday, July 28, 2008
I started reading this this afternoon and finished up about 11 pm...so I guess you could say that I couldn't put this down.

I thought Bella's attraction to Edward was a little whirlwind (it would have been more believable to me if she had resisted more), but I guess it's all part of his charm. :)

Here I am...up at 3:40 due to being sick and having some form of insomnia, so I'm making journal entries. I might be sick in more ways than one!

Here's a passage I enjoyed:

It was hard to decide what to wear. I doubted there were any etiquette books detailing how to dress when your vampire sweetheart takes you home to meet his vampire family. -- page 318

Thanks for sharing this. I'll pass it along soon.

Jen sent this to me (you never fail me!). I've heard so much about this series, almost EVERYONE that I know has read them. I feel left out. I started this one today, and I'm already getting into it.

A girl I work with is also interested in reading it. I'll pass it to her when I'm done!

I finished reading this the other night, and I really enjoyed it!! Everyone was right, they suck you in! My mom wants the whole series for her own library, so I'm gonna hook her up for Christmas :D
And for some reason Bella reminds me of myself. I think it's because of the clumsiness LOL. I'm such a clutz and I wasn't a normal teen either...I hated the idea of prom too! xD
Now I'm ready to start the second book. Gonna pass this one along to a co-worker :)
Thanks again, Jen!!

I think this has to be the BEST book I have ever read. I find myself crushing on Edward he is so charming. At the end of the book, I got mad at him and did not read for a couple days but I calmed down lol :) ... I am finished now and a little bit sad because I did not want it to end but I am looking forward to reading the second book. Thanks Elaine for sharing this with me!

Going to pass this to my friend Amy :) She saw the movie trailer one night then gave me a call. She remembered me talking about it and was definitely interested in reading it now. She's picking it up tonight (along with New Moon).

I'm starting to think I'm one of the last ones on earth who hasn't yet started this series. Well, now I have no excuses, do I??? I am a bit backlogged on reading at the moment, but I plan to make this priority very soon! Thank you for the RABCK, Jen! :')

Journal Entry 13 by indygo88 from Lafayette, Indiana USA on Friday, March 6, 2009
Did I enjoy it? Yes. Did I think it was spectacular? No. Would I recommend it? Probably. Will I read the rest of the series? Yes, because I'm a sucker for series books. It's a fun read, & I can see how people get addicted to the series easily, but overall, I think it's overrated. I can think of better series books, but this particular one has been taken over by the media & has just grown & grown in popularity. And I think that's a good thing, if it gets more people reading. :')

Sending off in tomorrow's mail to dg7500, winner of my raffle draw. Enjoy! :')

Journal Entry 15 by wingdg7500wing from Lancaster, Pennsylvania USA on Friday, March 27, 2009
Arrived safely in todays mail. Thanks *so* much for the generous rabck draw, indygo88!! I plan on starting this one shortly, and as long as it's appropriate for her reading level, will be giving it to a very excited DD to read. :0)

4/5/09 Update: A quick & easy read...an enjoyable bit of fluff. While I see the appeal for the Young Adult reader, I am a bit surprised that this has become such a huge hit with adults as well.

A *very* excited DD will be starting to read this on Monday...probably on the busride to school. Will check in again when she's finished to give some of her thoughts on the book.

Journal Entry 16 by wingdg7500wing from Lancaster, Pennsylvania USA on Monday, April 20, 2009
DD finished reading this about 2 weeks ago and absolutely *loved* it...said it is the best book she's ever read!! She's been bugging for the second one, and since she just got her braces put on this morning, I broked down and bought "New Moon" for her while she was at the orthodontist. Hopefully, it will help take her mind off her aching teeth over the next few days.

DD will be adding this to her PC for a little while, as she wants to reread it again before passing it along. Thanks again for sharing this with us, indygo88...DD says *YOU ROCK*, and I couldn't agree more!!
