Jody never asked to become a vampire. But when she wakes up under an alley dumpster with a badly burned arm, an aching neck, superhuman strength, and a distinctly Nosteratuan thirst, she realizes the decision has been made for her. Making the transition from the nine-to-five grind to an eternity of nocturnal prowlings is going to take some doing, however, and that's where C. Thomas Flood fits in. A would be Kerouac from Incontinence, Indiana, Tommy (to his friends) is biding his time night clerking and frozen turkey bowling in a San Francisco Safeway. But all that changes when a beautiful undead redhead walks through the door.

This arrived today- luckily under cover of snow, so I hid the fiends under a jacket. ;) I have one more ring to read, so I'll update when I get closer (shouldn't be too long, I'm a fast reader, and easter holidays started today!)
Updated to say I'm starting this as soon as I log off the computer. Hope to have it done and mailed out by the end of this week- have already pmed the next participant.
The fiends and I have spent a quiet easter on the couch- starting at 8 am, and going until about 15 minutes ago.
I LOVED this book. It was funny in a witty way, and I was entertained the whole way through. I can't wait to see what other readers think of this book!
Tommy is by far my favorite (I think because he reminds me of the guy that works at the Skyline Chili next door to the salon), and I can't wait to read the sequel, "You Suck".
I have the address of the next participant and I will have the fiends on their way (under cover of darkness, of course) either tomorrow or thursday before work. Thanks so much Lori for letting me read this!

Received this book May 5 via mail...and can't wait to get started on it! Will jump into it as soon as I finish the book I'm reading now (almost done).
