Very good light reading and a good sequel to Big Stone Gap. Whoever winds up with this one will have a real treat!

I just found the book and plan to start reading it tonight!
I got this book (along with another, The Pilot's Wife) from a friend to take on a family vacation to Florida. I plan to pass it along to my mother who will probably then pass it on to a particular friend of hers. I really enjoyed the book, fully reading it in only two days ... something I don't usually do. The only thing that bothered me was that I thought the lead character took too much of the blame for all of the problems that occured in the book. She reminded me of me ... trying to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders, as too many women do. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it and identified with "Ave" and would certainly recommend the book to most anyone.
