I enjoyed this book. The ending really surprised me. Cliff Janeway is a former police detective but lost his job in an earlier novel (I do hate not starting with the first novel in a series, now I have to go find that). He has become a dealer in rare books. He buys a rare first addition which turns out to really belong to a charming old woman who claims her whole collections was stolen from her as a young girls. Janeway agrees to get to the bottom of this and that it where the mystery begins. I am going to pass this on at the Trivalley bookcrossing meeting on Tuesday.
Picked up at tonight's bookcrossing meeting.
I struggled to finish this book. It just dragged on and on. As with The Da Vinci Code the ending takes the protagonist right back to the beginning making me feel like I've wasted my time.
