Star Trek 3
1 journaler for this copy...
In the fallow years between the cancellation, and the first Convention in Philly, there wasn't even the samizdat of fanzines!
There was only one light burning for Star Trek fans. That light was James Blish (and so I was introduced to the works of a super-fine author. See also his great work "Cities in Flight" and others!)
Alas for Blish! By the third one, Blish had begun to learn that the fans didn't want his INTERPRETATION of the episodes -- they wanted a verbatim copy! By the fourth one, he practically never wandered from the script.
And do you know, I bought this book for fifty cents in 1969???
They were sad days for Trekkies ... but it was the Summer of Love, and happier times in many other ways.
Contents:
The Trouble w/ Tribbles
The Last Gunfight
The Doomsday Machine
Assignment: Earth
Mirror, Mirror
Friday's Child
Amok Time
