Gulliver has many adventures as he first visits the island of Lilliput, where the people are only 6 inches tall, and then Brobdingnag, where the people are as tall as church steeples. He finishes by visiting the land of the Houynhnhnms, who are horses endowed with reason. Their decent, orderly way of life is contrasted with the filthy, brutal behaviour of the Yahoos - beasts in human shape.
