Synopsis
When a car is torched, Deputy Chief Constable Skinner finds himself on the same side as a villain he has tried to catch for years. The body in the car was Carole Charles, wife of elusive villain Jackie. But these events bring back memories of Skinner's first wife's death and he finds himself investigating a murder closer to home.

Finished this last night. I quite enjoyed it. There was a good twist at the end. This was my second 'Bob Skinner' but was set earlier in time than the one I read previously. One day I'll manage to start at the beginning of a series !
