A good introduction to Woolf's work, and this is her most acclaimed novel. I think I was compelled to read this for a university English class and while I didn't enjoy it as much as A Room of One's Own, I appreciate that this novel was groundbreaking when Woolf published it and that it was the author's most autobiographical work, as well.

If you enjoy the classics, give it a try. This book also contains extensive chronological notes and biographical information.
