Am rating this as "haven't read" because I never finished it. I'm sorry! It's so embarrassing because this seems to be one of those books one HAS to like, and I... just... didn't. I like historical novels, I love fantasy, I'm interested in paganism & history and I'm a woman. This book should be right up my alley, should it not? It wasn't. I couldn't stand any of the characters who all did amazingly stupid things all the time. I really wanted to root for Morgaine, but unfortunately she wasn't much smarter than the ever-so-tiresome bloody Guinevere. And since I knew "my side" was doomed anyway, I decided to stop about halfway through the book as I was so miffed by all the dim-wittedness. I SO wanted to like this book, but alas, no.

I know, I know. It's me! I know a lot of people adore this book and I hope one of those people finds my copy, reads it, enjoys it and adores it. Books deserve to be adored. :-)

RELEASE NOTES:

I haven´t started reading yet. It´s a really big book to read in a foreign language. Perhaps I will try because I´m very interessted in reading books. Otherwise I will give it to an english teacher in an adult-school for English, she can talk about it with her students, read it herself and make a note on this homepage.
I like the idea of bookcrossing. Maybe I give a journey to one of my favorite books soon..;-) Now it is in germany and I hope "The mists of Avalon"´s Journey will be long.
