My mom, AceofHearts, passed away from breast cancer on September 17, 2013. Aside from being one of the best people I know, she was an avid reader and took immense pleasure in Bookcrossing, her book club, and reading many great books. Unfortunately she didn't get around to reading this book.
This looks like quite a cute and interesting story so I'm going to keep this on my shelf.

This is such a cute little world full of fun and interesting characters. That said, it feels a bit dense for a child's book. I can't imagine how long it would take for me to read this to my daughter. Even by myself, it took about a week to get through.
I also started out this book pretty confused by whether Redwall is mouse-sized or human-sized. I swear at the beginning of the book there was talk of the rats using horses, so I thought this must be human-sized, but then it was never mentioned again and it bothered me for a while.
I'm glad the author wasn't afraid of killing off characters, but with the number of books available in this series, is there anyone left at the end?
While I did enjoy this, I don't plan on reading anymore in the series as I feel like I'd be at it forever.
