I love baby name books. I have a few of my own that I use when I'm writing, in order to figure out what to name characters or pets. But I suppose they could be used to name actual babies as well ;-)
Found this on a library sale shelf and thought it might be useful to someone here.

In a September 1991 article of the AWP Chronicle I just read & put online for work, Jacqueline Simon writes:
"Pity the novelist who can't find names for his characters. The truth is, that writer doesn't yet know his characters. He or she may have a plot, a place, and pages and pages of prose; but if the characters' names haven't arrived yet, neither has the work's meaning - and the writer knows it."
I hope this book will help someone find those all-important elements of a story!
Putting in my Writing Bookbox. Hope it's enjoyed!

I pulled this out of KateKintail's Writing Bookbox. I look forward to using it for my writing. Thanks!
This has been handy, but it's time to pass it along. I hope the next person finds it useful too.
