This is quite a story-one of those family sagas that has a cast of strong characters. I felt I gained perspective from the historical setting.
Picked up at a BC meet today.
What a beautiful and tragic story! I received this book at a Bookcrossing event a bit over 8 years ago and it has been languishing in my "To Be Read" pile ever since. It was worth the wait! I loved this book very much, and will be taking it with me to Texas this weekend to drop into the Little Free Library in my sister's front yard. :)
