A Cook's Tour
3 journalers for this copy...
Picked this up from the town library used book rack. It is a hard cover in great condition ... so I took it (.50 later).
It looks sort of interesting: a travel journal of a chef in search of the perfect meal.

I received this in the mail from greedyreader - thank you! I'm looking forward to reading a book that combines two of my favorites - good food and travel!
Tony Bourdain, chef and traveler, is snide, opinionated, and often downright obnoxious, but at least he's honest about it. Despite some truly transcendent descriptions of food and places, Bourdain's prose suffers from cliche and hyperbole (if he described one more woman as "bison-sized"...) And why the animosity towards vegetarians? Live and let live. I'll stick to my non-authentic kung pao tofu from the local take-out, and leave Tony to his beating cobra hearts and calf heads.
