Just when you think life can't get any worse, WHAM! It hits you like a ton of bricks! Rose's life makes mine seem like a bed of roses (which it has been lately), and I kept turning pages to see how she would respond to each new turn of events. In the end, she triumphs and readers can learn a lot from Rose about themselves.
