A convicted murderer has escaped Azkaban prison. The Dementors that guard the wizarding prison are furious and out for his soul. No ones knows how he managed to escape as it has never been done before, but two things appear certain he is in a league with You-Know-Who and is after Harry Potter.

Meanwhile Harry is having his own family problems when his Uncle's sister comes to visit. When he unexpectedly leaves Privet Drive early another adventure begins. Snape has once again been denied the post he requested and there is a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher with a secret. Harry gets another surprise when a friend takes over the post of Care of Magical Creatures Professor. And then there are new Divination classes with Professor Trelawney who is convinced Harry will meet an early tragic end. And among all this Harry just wants to be able to go to Hogsmeade on the weekends with his friends and play Quidditch.

Of course as with any Harry Potter book there are twists and turns along the way and nothing is as it seems to be.

----------

I first saw the movie and it didn't quite all make sense so I finally decided to pick up a Harry Potter book and I now love the entire series. The movies are good, but the books are ten times better!

Received in the mail today - Thank you!

I seem to be behind everyone in this series, but maybe I can catch up before the last one comes out?

I enjoyed this Harry Potter book more than the first two. I'm still going to try to read the rest before the last one comes out in July!
