This one’s a hoot – not Crusie’s best, but still fun. The visual symbolism of the town’s water tower is pretty anvil-licious, and not all of the supporting characters are engaging.

But the dialogue’s fab, and I do love how Sophie, Amy and Davy look out for each other. Don’t mess with the Tuckers. Also, Sophie’s a huge movie buff and a fan of Dusty Springfield – two big plusses in my book.

PS – if you enjoy the character of Davy, look for Crusie’s “Faking It”, in which he’s the (anti-)hero.

I have read this before & it is an excellent girlie read. I picked it up at meetup after it had been orphaned. I'll find somewhere to release it where it has a chance of being picked up! Thanks Emerald55!

A slightly raunchy fun, if a bit unbelievable storyline. Two sisters head into a small town named Temptation - no I'm not kidding- end up making various versions of a porn flick, implicated in a murder, adopt a stray dog, oh and lets not forget getting involved in smalltown council politics. Sophie, the responsible sister, finds the suave local mayor a bit of a hunk. Needless to say they play out each others sexually fantasies, despite his domineering mother. Read on!!
