In the Event of My Death

I found this book on a table of used books for sale at the Mall for 50 cents apiece, proceeds to the SPCA. Couldn't resist...
This is one of the books that I'm taking with me to read on my trip to Ontario and Québec. I'll release it somewhere along the way if I finish it on route. Happy reading to whoever finds it!
This was a very good book, but I didn't finish it until I was back home, so it will have to wait to be released.
This murder mystery definitely has some passages that raise the hair on the back of your neck! The author keeps you guessing right up to the end. Great character development and a book you don't want to put down.

I'm including this book in the Bohemian Wrapsody Wrap It Up Bookbox, where wrapped books are chosen on the basis of their first lines. Hope whoever picks this one is happy with their choice!
I selected this book from the Bohemian Wrapsody Bookbox.
In the summer of 2002, Elizabeth Smart, a fifteen-year-old girl who lives less than twenty miles from me, was kidnapped. For several months, the prime suspect was Richard Ricci. His name, along with the name of his wife, Angela Ricci, made headlines in the daily newspapers. I was spell-bound by the saga and read everything I could about it.
The first line of the book IN THE EVENT OF MY DEATH is "Angela Ricci wished again she had a dog." I read that line and exclaimed, "Great!! There's another book about the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping. I've got to choose this mystery book!"
SURPRISE! It's a fictional murder mystery with a main character that coincidentally has the same name as Salt Lake City's notorius Angela Ricci.
Thank you, Brookler, for passing the book to me. I look forward to reading it later this month.

I just finished reading my first murder-mystery.
It was an entertaining, suspenseful experience.
I read IN THE EVENT OF MY DEATH slowly and carefully, analyzing each event as I played
Sherlock Holmes. There were some interesting twists and turns in the plot that were intense and intriguing. The murderer and his/her motive were complete surprises, and provided a fun read.
(Yes, Brookler, I am very happy with my choice.)
Bookcrosser Elizardbreath has a second mystery
bookbox that will be sent to my sister-in-law,
Paulsbooks, in about six weeks. I am going to
re-wrap this book and add it to the "Wrap-Happy
Bookbox" at that time.
