travelogue of a young woman's trip to mexico. very basic writing style and the author has found it necessary to put a token spanish word on every page to appear knowledgable, very irritating.

When I look at the comments at this book it didn't seem to have found a real "amigo" or "amiga" so far... I picked it because I would like to travel to Mexico. I only made it to San Diego. Which was very Mexican influenced I thought... But didn't have time to cross the border then.

Picked up from table at The Golden Lion in York - looked colourful and interesting. Don't think I'll have much of problem with spanish words on each page - enjoyed all the french words on 'French Women Don't Get Fat' (they do, tho...) recently so let's give it a whirl.
