Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
2 journalers for this copy...
there are some major perks to working in a bookstore, and one of them is getting free galleys!! Who knows if this book is any good-- more importantly, it was free!!!!
file under "Trashy, Yet Amusing YA"
I liked the book and its concept-- but it is a galley copy and there are a few errors in it that let me know that the writers of the book are talking a crock of Sh*t. Some examples that irked me:
1. Norah was accepted to Brown (and if there ever was a cliche college for the intelligent-yet-too-cool-for-school-so-to-speak group!)and decided to defer a year, yet still talks about Brown as if she's not sure she can go back. If you defer a year from college, YOU'RE STILL GUARANTEED IN.
2. The drummer of Green Day is Tre Cool, not Tres Cool, as he was referenced in the book's galley copy.
3. A description of a skirt as "H&M meets S&M" is just......klfjdalkfjsldkfjdkjfwhb
4. Too many curse words. It's like "infuse teenage angst here" bad bad bad.
anyway.....
