I don't usually choose to read many biographies but found this fairly interesting. Mary was a fascinating character especially in later life when she became an exponent of feminist ideas - a marked contrast to her earlier years when she was more known for her affairs with prominent men. However, I'm not a big fan of poetry, so the vast amonuts of poetry quoted throughout made me score the book lower.
