I originally acquired this from the bookshelf in the Black Horse at Caythorpe, Notts.
I am looking forward to this. It's set in 1665/6 during the plague in Eyam, Derbyshire and is based on a true story.

I really, really enjoyed this story from start to finish. The author managed to capture the whole scenario most vividly for the reader and had a believable and robust heroine in Anna Frith.

RELEASE NOTES:
Because I so enjoyed this book it seemed a shame to wild release and risk it never being journalled again, so I'm happy to be sending it to sunlightbub as a swap.

I've heard wonderful things about this book, so I'm really looking forward to it - Thanks so much for sharing! x
I really enjoyed this book. I''ve always been interested by the events in Eyam, and this book gave a very human insight.
Like some of my fellow BObsers I did feel the epilogue was unnecessary, but the rest of the book was so good, I forgave that!! One of my favs this year.
THanks so much for sharing. It''s now going out overseas to PepperVL for Ballyswappers..Enjoy xx

Thanks for sending this, Sunny. I'm looking forward to reading it!
I've heard such good things about this book. I wanted to like it. And maybe I would have, but I couldn't get into it. I couldn't relate to Anna and lost interest early on. I gave up about a third of the way into the book... before the story really started, I know, but I have too many things on Mount TBR to push on with a book that's just not grabbing me.
Hopefully this will find its way to a new home where someone else will enjoy it.
