I'll explain the dedication, from my friend Jim, 1993, written on the inside cover. Me and "Crazy Erik" decided to travel to Youngstown, Ohio, from Kent, Ohio, via hitchhiking to see a beatnik video presentation at the student center of Youngstown State University. Well, if you've ever tried to hitchhike anywhere besides the great wild west, you'll know it's next to impossible, especially in pinchy, paranoid northeast Ohio. So, needless to say, we started to walk, and walk, and walk... (and walk). We ended up walking nearly the entire way, then getting stopped by the police somewhere in North Jackson around 2 am, half frozen and starved, and we stayed in the May Motel. The next morning, we breakfasted at the Korner restaurant (still there in 2002!), and walked the rest of the way to glorious Youngstown. For the curious, we did manage to hook up with some people, a KSU student, who was able to drive us back the next day, and we ended up staying over at their place, a band called "Rainbow Tribe." That was our "own zen way" as Jim says it. But I don't prescribe to the Eastern ways anymore, or feign to, so I'd better describe this sojounr as my own"will wandering" - but THAT is far too long and complex a story for this.
