Gulliver's Travels (Wordsworth Classics)

I picked this up a while ago for bookreadera's Banned Book Challenge.
This was quite the tale - I can definitely understand why it was banned, given some of the criticism's of English life, politics, etc. I have to admit, I knew nothing of the book before I picked it up, I thought it was a children's book. I'm pretty sure it was not intended for children, though. It was a long read, even at a mere 220 pages, it took me the time it normally takes to finish a book three times as long. That could be because I kept falling asleep! It isn't something I would ever read again, nor is it something that I would encourage someone else to pick up if they were looking for a good book, but I wouldn't encourage people to steer clear of it either. Overall, an interesting book.

Picked it up in the link between the Davis Centre and Math, on my way to the Dean of Math's office to discuss my missing sessional pay. I will read it once I've finished the books I'm currently reading.

It was an interesting book, and I'm glad I read it, as it is one of those books that everyone knows a bit about, and it's nice to know the whole story now. But it is not light reading. Took me a good two years of off-and-on reading to get through it. Lots of interesting ideas though. I am dropping it off in the computer science building at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS.
