A pretty good little horror tale in the Lovecraftian vein. Keene continues to surprise me with pulling off tales with what seems to be an old (and perhaps stale)formula and remakes them in new and surprising ways. His other books were retakes of the zombie genre and both were fresh and exciting all they way through. I plan to keep my eye out for more of his work because he's definitely got talent.
