TBR

This is the third book in the Grant County series and a brutal attack at the police station is connected to events which occurred 12 years in the past. The book dips back into the past when Jeffery Tolliver first goes out with Sara Linton (against her parents' advice) and he takes her back to the hometown where he was raised. The story mostly deals with the past but every few chapters the story reverts to the present day scene of crime.

A good story and interesting to see how the relationship developed at the beginning. It doesn't however go into details of their marriage, his betrayal and their subsequent divorce!

Lena also features in the present day scenes and is back in the fold as a fully fledged detective again but she is still dating the abusive Ethan. I don't understand why she hasn't got shot of him yet!

Another thriller to be added to the TBR pile. It is part of a series, but surely it can be read on its own to test how good the series is? (any excuse is good, really..)
