Scotiagirl gave me a bag full of books, this is one of them.
This book is one of the last few enjoyed by Scotiagirl's sister-in-law. It is being registered, read and released in memory of Lindy Trask - another Nova Scotian booklover.

This is by far the best book I've read this year.
Required reading for all of us living in privileged circumstances, to find out how more than half the world lives - in excrutiating poverty, fear, pain and human deprivation.
It gives me extra respect for our Canadian peacekeepers serving in Afghanistan right now. May they all stay safe while helping the country and its people towards peace and safety from the Taliban and other despotic regimes.
This will be heading out to Ontario in the middle of June to fulfill a BCers wish.

This copy was sent to me earlier this year by bluenoser. I have read this story a couple times and love it everytime. I know have my own personal copy of this book so Im sending this very special copy (in memory of Lindy Trask) on to Nimrodiel as my part in the New Year book exchange. I hope you enjoy the read, it was one of my favorites in 2005.

this was a fantastic story, and definatly one that I wouldn't have picked off the shelves for myself to read. I found myself spending the weekend's free time to devour the book.
