Journal Entry 5 by sunflowergirl from Carlisle, Cumbria United Kingdom on Friday, March 2, 2007
I've just finished reading this book and wanted to journal it right away. I got completely engrossed in this book from the beginning. I've read all the Kinsey Millhone books up to this point and this book was like a reward for sticking with the series for all this time. We got to hear more about Kinsey's past, and finally learned what had happened with her first husband. It was a really good book. Kinsey seemed a bit slow to realise a few things in this book but for the most part I was kept guessing for as long as she was.

Thanks so much for RABCKing this book to me. I'm sorry that I've taken a while to get to reading it, I've been trying to read this series in order so was getting hold of the previous books first. I'll now make sure that this book travels further.

Well- What a great book!!

The past catches up with Kinsey in this book- giving us the opportunity to find out even more about her life in the process. I really do worry about her though. I wish she would take up some form of martial arts, although she can handle herself pretty well, it might give us readers peace of mind.

All I want for Christmas is a pack of key-picks and a flashlight : ) and maybe some of henry's cinnamon rolls.

Sending on Pakasanelly (who I think has just finished L, is reading M, and has N on the way to her as I posted it yesterday.)
Thank you Sunflowergirl for starting the ring : )

Oh dear, I can feel an alphabet binge coming on!!!

Yes, on my shelf now I have M, N and O. However, I won't be able to get on with them as quickly as normal as I have to swot up for... my Student Ambulance Paramedic assessments, and hopefully ensuing interview, all happening in the coming week, eeeek!!!

Thanks for sharing SunflowerGirl, and thanks once again for posting to me BlueJazzyFish :o)

At odds with the others who have read this, I felt it a little over long, with rather tortuous investigations. Certainly not my favourite but still enjoyable and a very welcome distraction.

As I started reading it I realised that we hadn't been told anything at all about Husband #1 before now, not that I can recall anyway. I wonder what on earth else can happen to Kinsey!

(If anyone is following my attempts to become a Student Paramedic, as I worked my way through 'M' to 'O'; I've now passed all the assessments =:o) and just have to see their Doc tomorrow to persuade him that my previous RSI/ shoulder probs won't be an issue.)

Sending home to SunflowerGirl today! Thank you once again for sharing :o)

Thanks for sending the book home safe and sound, Pakasanelly (and for the postcard). Thanks to everyone who read and made a journal entry on this book; I'm glad you all enjoyed it. I can't believe what good condition it's still in too, I appreciate you all taking care of it.
