Another dreadful "thriller" from the NUMA (National Undersea and Marine Agency) files. If you remember the Tom Swift, Jr. series for kids, you get a pretty good idea how this story goes: futuristic machines, ridiculous plot, mad scientist, macho heros who can fire off a quip in the face of danger, etc. I picked up this hardcover edition for half a buck at the Bargain Box thrift store, Hungerford Drive, Rockville, MD.
