Picked up from my favourite local charity shop.
Subtitled "A collection of cautiously hopeful essays", a wry and amusing selection of musings by the real-life Carrie Bradshaw - one of the writers of Sex and The City.
Here's hoping every woman who reads this will be swept off her feet by her own Mr Big by the last page - if Big could stoop to taking public transport, that is.

I started reading this a couple of nights ago when I was planning on having an early night, and ended up taking it to bed to finish it.
In one season of Sex and The City, I forget which, Carrie's columns are collected and released as a book - and this is the real-life version.
Quick, light and funny, sometimes a little world-weary but never cynical, and always full of hope - and there's some good advice in here too.

Given to a very good friend, at a point when it was unintentionally apt...
